MANILA, Philippines – Kiray Celis is embarrassed that Piolo Pascual has been dragged into the issue linking her to his son, Iñigo.
“Gusto ko lang sabihin na ayoko na siyang patagalin na issue kasi nakakahiya kay Papa P [Piolo]. Kasi siya ‘yung laging sumasagot kapag hindi nila mainterview si Iñigo. Si Papa P ‘yung iniinterview, nakakahiya kay Papa P,“ appealed the young comedienne-actress on “The Buzz,” July 31.
She added, “Kaya sorry Papa P. Sorry. Sana matapos na po ito kasi wala naman po talagang meron [sa amin ni Iñigo].”
The 15-year-old actress was recently rumored to be dating Iñigo after she posted a candid photo of them together on her Twitter account (@kiraycelis) when they watched “Harry Potter.”
Just as quickly as she posted the intriguing photo, Kiray also promptly belied the said rumor by saying, “Nako wala po talaga, magkaibigan lang po talaga kami.”
She went on, “Ah, hindi po. Walang date-date po.
“[‘yung] paglabas namin, hangout lang. Bonding lang,” she said.
Asked how they became friends, the “Growing Up” actress revealed, “Nakipagkaibigan siya sa akin, gumawa siya ng way.
“Nagpakilala lang siya sa akin. Nag-meet kami sa ‘ASAP Rocks,’ tapos nag-message siya sa akin na ‘Hi, this is Iñigo,’” she recounted.
Describing her friend, she quipped, “Mabait si iñigo, sobra. Best friends kami. Sobrang best friends.”
Having mentioned that it's usually Piolo who reacts to the issues about his son, “The Buzz” showed a video clip showing the hunk actor being informed that Kiray allegedly wants to date his son.
To which he laughingly replied, “Bata pa ‘yung anak ko, 13-anyos lang ‘yon, huwag muna. Tsaka na.”
After which Kiray stated, “Nakalimutan kong sabihin na Ate ako ni Iñigo, 13 lang siya tapos ako 15 kaya ang tawag niya sa akin Ate Sexy. Kasi Kuya Sexy ko siya kasi kami ‘yung sexy siblings.”
Single and “no boyfriend since birth,” Kiray said that at 15 she still isn’t ready to be committed to someone for now. But if ever she'll ever date someone, she notes, “Siguro katulad ni Kuya Sam [Milby]. Basta si Kuya Sam talaga ang dream boy ko pero dream boy na kuya, ganon,” she related.
