Aside from being two of the busiest actors in the country, Sam Milby and Gerald Anderson share also the desire to help the less fortunate: Sam through World Vision, where he helps send poor children to school, and Gerald with his yearly commitment to Cancer Warriors, an organization that helps care for children with cancer.
"Gerald and I feel we have to give back considering the numerous blessings being showered us by the Lord," said Sam. "Besides, you feel an unexplainable happiness whenever you are able to help others lalo’t mga bata sila."
Aside from sharing a charitable spirit, both are under contract with ABS-CBN and Star Cinema and also endorsers of Dermablend, a product of BCP Dermalogical Corporation.
For five years now, said Sam, he has been endorsing Dermablend’s Papaya Orange Whitening Soap, which was launched in 2006.
"And they have been five years of a most rewarding relationship," said Dina Stalder, the lady behind BCP Dermatological Corporation.
"He is a perfect endorser of the product. With him as our endorser, may recall ang product, since he epitomizes what the product represents, one who is flawless and good-looking."
Gerald has been with the company for two years. He endorsers Dermablend’s Guava Tea Tree Soap, which not only offers superb cleansing but also has natural antibacterial and antiseptic properties of tea tree and guava extracts.
Sam and Gerald are also seen every Sunday in the noontime musical show on ABS-CBN, "ASAP Rocks."
Trivia about Sam and Gerald: They both have Filipino mothers and American fathers.
But while Sam was born and reared in the US, Gerald has for his birthplace, GenSan City.
Sam was on vacation in the country when he was offered to do commercial modeling.
Gerald was staying with his dad in the US when he decided to pay his mom a visit in GenSan. His parents are separated.
They are both products of the reality show, "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB). They both finished runners-up.
