Sam Milby didn’t hide the fact that a special girl caught his eye while he was living in New York for three and a half months. Aside from pursuing his Hollywood dream, the dashing actor had also expressed his wish to find new love before leaving for the States last February. “I did meet somebody. Hindi pa naman pwede sabihin [yung detalye]. We’re just friends pero gusto ko siya. She's quarter Pinay [and a mix] of Dutch, Irish, and German,” he revealed in an interview with Push.com.ph last May 16.
Although they’ve known each other for only a month or so, Sam shared that his mystery girl is someone he’d like to be in a relationship with if given the chance. “It’s just because of the fact that we’re still friends so ayoko naman [sabihin yung name niya], kapag may something na talaga. Mahirap naman kasi nandito na ako ulit [tapos] nasa New York siya. Modelo siya dun. Pero nagtratrabaho siya sa New York. Hindi pa siya nakakapunta dito sa Pilipinas, pero nag-modeling na siya sa Singapore.”
Sam further stated that he was wowed not only by her good looks, but more so with her integrity and personal beliefs. “Nagustuhan ko yung values niya. She’s a college graduate. [And she’s] doing modeling too. In her line of work, there are a lot of things that they want you to do pero hindi niya ginagawa because she doesn’t believe it to be right. And I just really appreciate that. She’s very driven, she has a lot of discipline, ang bait talaga and very beautiful. I’ve only known her for a month and a half pero gusto ko siya,” he beamed.
In the meantime, Sam is excited about his upcoming projects now that he’s back in Manila. As a matter of fact, he’ll be a guest co-host of Sarah Geronimo in Sarah G Live on May 20. He’s also set to meet with ABS-CBN executives regarding a teleserye with Judy Ann Santos. “From what I know so far, may teleserye ako with Judy Ann Santos and Jessy Mendiola. Later this week malalaman ko kung anong kwento. First time ko to work with Judy Ann so malaking privilege talaga to work with someone with that high status in showbiz. Alam ko madami akong matututunan sa kanya. I’ve never worked with her before. I know her and Ryan Agoncillo so I’m excited.”
