Sam Milby is both excited and nervous about trying his luck in Hollywood (Screen grab from 'Bandila'/abs-cbnNEWS.com)
MANILA, Philippines - Without offering details, Sam Milby divulged that his ex-girlfriend Anne Curtis was the last girl who made him cry.
The singer-actor made the surprising revelation in response to Boy Abunda's query, "[Sino ang] last girl na nagpaiyak kay Sam Milby?" during the "Ikaw Na!" segment on "Bandila," Jan. 24.
Sam and Anne became involved in 2007, and called it quits the following year in what may well be one of the most controversial breakups of 2008. The two eventually rekindled their friendship.
Interestingly, Sam admitted in the same "Bandila" interview that Anne's current squeeze, French-Filipino chef Erwan Heussaff, was the last guy that made him jealous.
When asked who among the three famous women linked to him—Anne, Toni Gonzaga, and international YouTube sensation Marié Digby—he'd want to have dinner with before he leaves for the US, the former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate chose Toni, who's one of the show's hosts.
"Because she was there from the start. Siya 'yung nag-build up ng pangalan ko inside the 'PBB' house. She was my first love team. And I think it'd be nice to have dinner with Tin," he explained.
Meanwhile, Sam named Jessy Mendiola as the last lady with whom he got "kilig."
"Actually nag-'MMK' kami… She is very pretty. Beautiful. Mas maganda siya 'pag walang make-up," the Kapamilya actor enthused.
Sam also disclosed his "biggest regret" in love, thus: "There were times in the past when I wasn't mature enough and I wasn't man enough to be the leader ng relationship."
Meanwhile, he cited Yeng Constantino (whom he sees as a "little sister") and John Prats as the female and male celebrities he'll miss the most while he's away.
Sam will fly to the US next month to chase his Hollywood dream. He will stay abroad for three and a half months.
Although he's quite anxious about leaving, Sam is excited about the opportunities that await him, given that the executive casting directors and producers "really liked" his audition a few months back.
"Sanay ako sa sistema dito (Philippines). I don't have to audition, I've been very blessed… This is the first year, hindi ko alam kung anong mangyayari," he said.
The actor feels "like starting all over again" with his Hollywood venture.
"The thing kasi sa States, 'yung mga sikat na sikat na actors and actresses, nago-audition din sila. No matter who you are, you have to audition for any project. So 'yun ang gagawin ko po. Wala namang guaranteed work pero kumbaga I feel like I have my foot in the door…"
Sam hopes that he will move past the auditions "and maging successful… [whatever's] gonna happen there in the States."
"At tsaka 'yung mga kaibigan ko rito, 'yung mga sumusuporta sa akin, [I hope] that they will still support me at they won't forget me sana," he added.
