As previously reported on Push.com.ph, Sam Milby was required to undergo military training for his TV role in Alta. But he clarified that it was just part of his preparations to acquire a sense of proper decorum fit for someone who belongs to a very prominent family. “Nagulat din ako kasi nag-military training kami. Pero yung show hindi naman siya tulad ng Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin. But they wanted us to learn more discipline and proper posture na very military angnature.”Sam further shared that he had fun learning various military drills together with his co-stars Luis Manzano and Zanjoe Marudo. “Tatlong araw yung trainingnamin sa marines. Yung first day kami ni Luis ang magkasama. Nag-aral kami ng rhythmic commands,lahat ng marches and drills. Kung ano yung tamang posisyon ng bawat parte ng katawan. On the second day, we learned how to assemble and disassemble the parts of an M16 rifle. Meron kaming contest niZanjoe and panalo yung team ko.”
As he plays the brother of Gretchen Barretto, Sam expects that his wardrobe would be more sophisticated. But it’s no trouble at all for the Fil-Am heartthrob as he often portrays well-off characters in most of his teleseryes. “Hindi pa naman sinabi kung anong kailangan. Pero siyempre high society so baka tailored suits by Francis Libiran. Sanay na rin ako dahil mula nung Maging Sino Ka Man days and even with Dyosa, halimaw ako pero ‘pag tao naka business suit pa rin ako.”
