Sam Milby waiting for the torch during the first-ever Youth Olympic Games in Singapore
MANILA, Philippines - Recently, Sam Milby signed once again with Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO).
Sam was seen supporting the Samsung Genoa, Champ and Corby products.
Asked why Sam was considered a perfect fit for SEPCO’s feature touch phones, Glenn Martin Glinoga, business unit director of Hand Held Phones (HHP) for SEPCO, answered, “Sam is a relatable personality. What’s more, he is also tech-savvy and knowledgeable about mobile phone technology. Sam was instrumental in Samsung’s growth as the market leader in touch phones.”
Sam wowed the whole country as he participated in many of SEPCO’s activities in 2010.
He was also chosen as brand ambassador for Samsung Hope, helping the company’s cause in sending underprivileged children back to school. He became a big part of the campaign, as he helped raise donations for his own chosen institution, World Vision.
Sam was also seen as an official torch bearer to the first-ever Youth Olympic Games held in Singapore last August 2010. He represented SEPCO and the Philippines in the inaugural celebration of the inspirational games.
2011 started off brightly as Sam brought much more excitement than before by representing SEPCO in its participation in Panagbenga in which the SEPCO float placed first in the competition. Sam continues to stand alongside SEPCO and its brand new handheld products.

What to expect with Sam as Samsung’s brand ambassador? Glenn replies, “We want Sam to help SEPCO further grow its No. 1 position in the touch phone category. And we are sure that it is possible because his appeal transcends all ages, gender and social status.”
