"Hindi po totoo na iiwan yung showbiz dito, kaya lang...it just so happens that we have two major networks sa States that are interested in me," reveals Sam Milby about his plans to pursue an acting career in the United States.
Will Sam Milby leave the Philippines to pursue a career in the United States?
"Hindi naman po ako, ahm...wala naman po akong balak na iiwan ang showbiz dito sa Pilipinas," he disclosed in an Entertainment Live interview aired last Saturday, September 17.
"Hindi po totoo na iiwan yung showbiz dito, kaya lang ahm...it just so happens that we have ahm...two major networks sa States that are interested in me ahm...so we're just being hopeful," Sam told E-Live hosts Luis Manzano, Ogie Diaz, Bianca Gonzales and Nikki Gil.
Sam then added, "And next week, actually I'll be in the States for the music festival in New Jersey. And then I'll have a meeting also with them, so...sana naman matutuloy 'yon, siyempre that's my biggest dream.
"Ahm...but hindi naman pwede this year kasi may Alta ako, may movie with Bea [Alonzo] din, so kung sakali next year pa. Wala pa namang definite, so just be hopeful lang."
DUET WITH ANNE CURTIS. There have been rumors saying that Sam Milby turned down the chance to be a part of Anne Curtis' debut album. However, the ex-boyfriend of Anne clarified that he didn't reject the project but there were complications that prevented him from collaborating with his former flame.
"Hindi po totoo 'yon. Actually ano, ahm...nag-agree ako. Pagsang-ayon? Tama ba?" asked Sam to check if he used the correct Tagalog word.
"I mean, sumang-ayon ako. I agreed. Ahm...um-oo ako, um-oo ako sa kanya, 'tapos sinabi ko rin, sinabi ko rin sa management ko na okay din.
"Pero I think nagka-problema siguro sa ano...nagka-problema kasi ano, ibang record labels, conflict talaga, so...ayon."
If the project pushed through, what song would he sing together with Anne Curtis?
"I think yung nag-iisang song na naka-standout para sa amin...yung, yung nag-guest siya sa concert ko, first concert sa Aliw Theater, 'Always Be My Baby,'" revealed Sam.
For his part, Sam has just released his own album titled Be Mine, which features the carrier single "Hindi Kita Iiwan."

ON MARIE DIGBY. There are reports saying that Marie Digby wrote a note in her album that she gave Sam Milby. The singer, who used to go out with Sam, reportedly wrote: "You will always hold a special place in my heart."
Was Sam affected when Marie finally decided to cut short their budding romance and asked that they remain friends?
"Wait, first off, paano kong nalaman yung sulat niya? Kasi ano, hindi pa naman lumabas yung album niya," cleared Sam.
"Siguro sa pagiging kaibigan, she knows naman na I'm always here for her kung kailangan niya ng kaibigan.
"Siya ang first...I mean naging dream come true na nag-guest siya sa album ko, talagang friend...I, I was such a big fan, ano, ano, dati when I was watching her sa mga YouTube videos.
"Ahm...so ano, happing-happy na naging friends kami, I mean it was last year, that ano, nag-date kami last year and then, na we just became friends, so we're still friends until now."
MOTOCROSS CHAMP. Last September 10, Sam won the top prize in the beginner open production category of the Governor Junie E. Cua Invitational Motocross Cup in Quirino province.
A lot of women love to watch motocross. Did Sam join motocross to attract more girls or for you to finally meet the girl that you're looking for?
"Siyempre False. Yung tatay ko, yung dalawang kapatid ko, dalawang brothers ko nag-motocross din sila, so it's in my family.
"Actually, yung isang brother ko namatay sa motor, actually namatay sa motor nung bata ako. Pero yung dad ko, I was ahm...it runs in the family. Nagsimula ako nung nine years old."
Despite the accidents that happened in the past, why does Sam still pursue motocross?
"Para sa akin...hindi ko alam. Passion ko talaga yun, yung motocross. Yung isang bagay na gustung-gusto ko," he enthused.
