Sam Milby admitted that it was refreshing to have Pokwang as a leading lady in the movie 24/7 In Love. Aside from the fact that he enjoyed shooting their comic scenes together, they didn’t have a hard time establishing onscreen chemistry since they’re also good friends off cam. “Six years na kaming nagkakasama sa concert tours and we did an episode for Your Song before so it made it a lot easier. Mas nawawala ang pressure sa akin kasi it’s comedy. Masaya lang sa set, very easy going lang,” he said during the press con of 24/7 In Love.
The 26-year-old is also part of the teleserye Against All Odds together with Judy Ann Santos and KC Concepcion. It was supposed to start airing this year but was moved to 2013. When asked how he feels about the delay, Sam maintained that it’s all for the best since his other co-stars are also busy with different projects. “Kakaradating ko lang galing States. I don’t know, naghihintay lang ako. For the week we were put on hold kasi ang hirap ng schedule. I know Juday has a movie for Metro Manila Film Fest and she's also busy with her new show Pinoy MasterChef. Ako naghihintay lang ng schedule. Okay na rin kasi busy din ako. I’m doing a lot of shows for singing naman. But I just finished the indie movie Death March.”
Sam previously shared in an interview with Push.com.ph that he was star-struck by Judy Ann during their first few days on the set. But he’s happy to say that he’s more comfortable working with her now. “First time na magkasama kami sa isang project. Friends naman kami pero may mga eksena lang na medyo na-intimidate ako pero naging kumportable naman ako after a while.” He added that his colleagues have been very supportive whenever he has a hard time with his speaking lines. “Noong una nahirapan ako sa mga lines ko na medyo malalim. Kaya minsan ang iniisip ko yung linya, hindi yung acting. Pero yun lang naman.”
