"Sam Milby says he is ‘excited, not pressured’ to work with Judy Ann Santos"

In preparation for his upcoming teleserye, Against All Odds with Judy Ann Santos and KC Concepcion, Sam Milby said that his major concern really is how to get into his character. The Fil-Am actor revealed that he is excited that his role in the project is out-of-the-box. “It’s more [about] understanding the character, kasi may laman talaga ‘yung character ko. It’s just getting to know the character more. This is after a year and a half, since the last teleserye na ginawa ko. Kumbaga pagbabalik ko sa primetime. Even with Judy Ann, this is her comeback (so) talagang blessed na blessed ako.”

He said that working with Judy Ann is definitely a highlight in his career, and he does not feel pressured to be working with the Teleserye Queen. “It’s not pressure, it’s more being blessing sa akin. Siyempre it’s give and take, kung magaling talaga ‘yung kaeksena mo, nakakatulong talaga,” he explained. “To be with her alam ko marami akong matututunan. It’s more excitement, not pressure.

“Of course, laging may pressure kahit sinong kasama mo, direktor, anything. Lagi naman may pressure, magri-rate ba ito, (o) ano ang magiging reaksyon ng tao. But for me, it’s less pressure for me knowing na kasama ko ‘yung magaling na magaling na actors and maganda talaga ang story.”

Sam is all set to prove that he has become a better actor by taking on a role that he has never tried in all his years in show business. “After seven years na maraming roles na ginawa, I hope kahit papaano, sana makikita ng mga tao na my acting [has improved],” he said....
