Manila artists, fireworks kick off SM City consolacion opening june 1

CEBU, Philippines - SM City Consolacion opens to the public on June 1 with your favorite Kapuso artists performing live at the Event Center.

Catch Rochelle Pangilinan, Kris Lawrence, Jaya, Nomer, Bianca King, and Mark Herras beginning 4pm.

Rochelle Pangilinan is a dancer, singer, and actress and one of the founding members of the dance group SexBomb Girls. Pangilinan entered dancing contests at a young age, and at age 14 joined Eat Bulaga. She also appeared in GMA 7 shows such as Amaya, Mind Master, and Broken Vow.

Kris Lawrence is a regular of Party Pilipinas and appeared in Chef Boy Logro: Kusina Master, Showbiz Central, and SOP Fully Charged.

Also topping GMA 7’s artists is Filipino soul music singer Jaya, known as Soul Diva and the Asia’s Queen of Soul in the music industry. Joining them are child-singer Nomer, model-actress Bianca King, and Mark Herras.

Actor, model, and recording artist Sam Milby will meet his fans in Consolacion come June 2, 5pm at the Event Center. Milby became an instant celebrity and heartthrob after leaving the Pinoy Big Brother House in November 2005. He currently appears in a Sunday musical variety show, ASAP 2012, through his own segment called ‘Sam Sessions’. He also rendered his version of Only You to ABS-CBN’s Tagalog-dubbed Korean soap of the same title.

Milby’s first major film debut was Close to You, produced by ABS-CBN subsidiary Star Cinema and co-starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. Milby also released a self-titled debut album in early 2006, which was repackaged in the third quarter of 2006.

On June 3, 5pm, also at the Event Center, fans will have the chance to see up close and personal their favorite Kapamilya stars - Paulo Avelino and Melissa Ricks. Avelino began his acting career through the reality talent show StarStruck in 2006 while Ricks joined the reality talent search of ABS-CBN, Star Circle Quest, in 2004. Both Avelino and Ricks now starred ABS-CBN’s top rated drama teleserye, ‘Walang Hanggan,’ as Richard Gomez and Rita Avila’s children.
