Sam is still after his American dream as he is willing to try again next casting season should he fail to clinch a role on a TV show this year.
MANILA, Philippines – Enchong Dee has revealed that his fellow Star Magic Sam Milby is set to return to the country soon for a new project with their mother network, ABS-CBN.
Recall that Milby, despite unsolicited warnings that breaking into Hollywood is a “near-impossible” feat, has put his local career on hold in favor of trying out in the American entertainment industry early this year. In March, The Filipino Channel show “Balitang America” reported that Milby has already “gone through nine auditions for roles in TV pilots for major networks” and was awaiting callbacks from agents and directors.
The actor has been overseas for about two months now, and has reportedly joined Dee and other Kapamilya stars for the Star Magic Tour in the US.
“Si Sam, nag-announce na siya ng pagbabalik niya. Actually sinabi niya na rin ‘yung bagong magiging show niya at makakasama niya, kaya konting hintay na lang, makakasama na natin si Sam ulit,” Dee told ABS-CBNNews.com in a report posted on April 18.
Asked for the latest news on Milby’s auditions, Dee said, “Hindi namin masyadong tinatanong sa kanya. Gusto namin antayin na lang kung ano ‘yung magiging break niya pagdating doon.”
However, no official word yet has been issued by Milby and ABS-CBN as of this writing.
