Manila, Philippines – ‘PUSONG MAMON’ REDUX — Heard that Viva’s doing a remake of “Pusong Mamon,” which the studio produced a decade or so ago. It’s a delightful comedy about a gay couple and the woman between them. “Pusong Mamon” starred Eric Quizon, Albert Martinez, and Lorna Tolentino. Directed by Joel Lamangan. Eric took over when Joel got sick.
The cast is still being discussed, but this columinist suggests that either Joel or Eric be retained as director.
Yes, it was a hit, hence the remake.

SUGGESTIONS, SUGGESTIONS – Here are some suggestions as regards the cast of the remake of “Pusong Mamon.” Take note, Boss Vic (del Rosario).
Should Viva co-produce it with Star Cinema, these names come to mind: Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, and Bea Alonzo.
Or how about Jericho Rosales, Jake Cuenca, and Toni Gonzaga?
John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano would also have been perfect, except that they’ve done similar roles in the Vilma Santos starrer “In My Life.”
Now, if it were a Viva-GMA joint venture, consider Dingdong Dantes, Dennis Trillo, and Marian Rivera.
If a younger cast is preferred, then why not Aljur Abrenica, Alden Richards, and Sam Pinto?
How about a Viva-TV5 co-prod? Suggested cast: Zoren Legaspi, Edgar Allan Guzman and Alice Dixson. Or Martin Escudero, Alwyn Uytinggo, and Ritz Azul....
