MANILA – “Four Sisters and a Wedding,” the Star Cinema offering that
kicks off its 20th anniversary celebration, earned P60 million only four
days since it was released in theaters.
This was announced by Boy Abunda on “The Buzz” on Sunday.
Speaking on “The Buzz” where she’s also one of the hosts, Toni
Gonzaga thanked all those who have already seen the family-oriented
drama-comedy film.
“Maraming maraming salamat po sa pagsuporta niyo sa kickoff project Star Cinema,” she said.
Aside from Gonzaga, the film also stars Shaina Magdayao, Angel Locsin, Bea Alonzo and Enchong Dee.
In the film, sisters Teddie (Gonzaga), Bobbie (Alonzo), Alex (Locsin)
and Gabbie (Magdayao) gather home for a "big event" -- their youngest
sibling's (Enchong Dee) wedding.
However, the four sisters, left with a foul impression after meeting
the bride's family, conspire to block the wedding. As they scheme to
"save" their only brother, the siblings are also forced to face problems
in their family.
The film also stars Connie Reyes, Sam Milby, Carmi Martin, Boboy Garovillo and Bernard Palanca.
The movie is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
