In fact, the 28-year-old actress said she considers it an "honor" to share a project with Judy Ann Santos, who leads the cast of the upcoming Kapamilya series "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala."
The series, which will start airing Monday during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block, is billed as the return of Santos as the "Queen of Pinoy Soap Opera."
"Si Miss Judy Ann Santos po iyon," Concepcion told reporters during a press conference held Tuesday for the series. "Of course, had it been a different actress, iba 'yung magiging desisyon ko, pero it's Ms. Judy Ann Santos."
Concepcion's last lead role in a primetime series was as Vivian in the 2009 Philippine remake of "Lovers in Paris," where she was cast opposite actor Piolo Pascual.
"If it's someone like Ate Juday," Concpecion continued, "it's an honor more than anything. It's a huge, huge opportunity to learn from her din."
She added: "Hindi lang naman 'yung nakikita ng mga tao on-screen ['yung maaari kong matutunan], kung 'di 'yung mga nagaganap din behind-the-scenes 'yung habol mo roon."
Going 'kontrabida'
In "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala," Concepcion portrays Alexis, the woman who comes between the characters portrayed by Santos and actor Sam Milby.
Describing her character, which she considers a "challenge" to portray, Concepcion said, "Bulag na bulag na bulag na talaga siya [sa pag-ibig] na hindi niya talaga maiwan si Eros (Milby), hindi niya talaga maiwan 'yung taong mahal niya."
