Sam Milby on staying single: ‘I think God has a plan’

Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala star Sam Milby admitted he is happy being single and is not pressured to be in a relationship any time soon. “Hindi naman kailangan maging pressured, darating yun eh. I’m still young. I’m 29 and I think may dahilan para sa lahat. Kasi feeling ko, I think God has a plan, kunwari if I did have a love life right now, if I have a girlfriend, pag in love ako nakatutok talaga ako sa kanya. Pag in love I’m very focused and wala I think there's maybe a reason. Wala eh, I'm just enjoying sa dami ng blessings sa buhay ko ngayon and I know na darating yun,” he shared.

For his role as Eros in Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala, Sam admitted he really wanted his character to leave an impression with the viewers. “I really worked hard para sa role na ito so parang kay Eros, magagalit, ma-in love, mainis, maawa, lahat lahat. Sana magagalit talaga sila, ibig sabihin nun effective yung acting ko. You can't play the good guy all the time. Maganda naman to play yung mga ibang roles na grey or kontrabida kasi it shows versatility as an actor. Hindi ka lang puwedeng maging good guy lagi,” he explained.

For his craft, Sam said he also has his inspirations when it comes to acting. “One person I really admire as an actor si Heath Ledger, yung ginawa niyang role sa Dark Knight, sobra yung respeto ng lahat sa ginawa niyang character. That really shows [his] personality,” he added.

Sam said his role now is more complex than his role in Maging Sino Ka Man. “For me oo. Para sa akin mas deeper yung role, mas malalim yung role, mas extreme. Mas intense. So sana naman makikita niyo yung effort ko. Sana yun ang sasabihin niyo na mas magaling si Sam dito sa role na ito,” he revealed.
