Sam Milby starts filming for indie flick

MANILA, Philippines -- For his latest big screen outing, Kapamilya actor Sam Milby trades in his matinee idol image for the dirty, bloodied look of a war prisoner.
Sam Milby posts an image on Twitter showing his look for 'Death March,' a historical drama on the 1942 fall of Bataan.
The "Pinoy Big Brother" alumnus is currently shooting the indie film "Death March," he shared to his millions of followers on micro-blogging site Twitter on Tuesday.
Directed by Adolfo Alix, Jr., "Death March" was among the films vying for a slot in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). The historical drama, however, failed to make the cut, along with other independent films such as Brillante Mendoza's "Thy Womb."
Also starring actors Zanjoe Marudo, Ejay Falcon, and Carlo Aquino, "Death March" tells the story of its namesake -- the forcible transfer of 76,000 American and Filipino prisoners of war by the Japanese Army in 1942.
On Tuesday, Milby also posted on Twitter images showing the look of his character, along with those of the characters of actors Luis Alandy, Jason Abalos and Felix Roco...
