As part of Star Cinema’s 18th anniversary offering, KC Concepcion stars in Forever and a Day, a unique kind of love story shot in the country’s best locales with one of the country’s top heartthrobs, Sam Milby. The movie also stars Matet De Leon, with whom KC admitted she got to bond during their on location shoots in various areas in Mindanao. The two actresses, considered showbiz royalty being the daughters of Superstar Nora Aunor and the Megastar Sharon Cuneta, only had nice things to say about each other while working on their first film project together. “Excited na excited ako nung malaman kong makakatrabaho ko siya. Feeling ko mahahawaan ako ng konti ng ganda niya pagka-nakasama ko siya sa pelikula (laughs). At saka ang tagal ko na rin siyang napapanuod sa TV. Excited ako at masaya, ayun,” she shared during the Forever and a Daypresscon held last June 10 at the ABS-CBN compound.KC admitted that even before she entered showbiz, she already grew up to people commenting on her and Matet’s similarities. Although KC only started doing movies a few years ago, Matet has been a child actress with over 30 movies under her belt ever since she first starred in I Love You Mama, I Love You Papa in 1986. “Ang tagal ko ng naririnig yung, ‘Para kayong magkapatid ni Matet!’” she shared.
The 26-year-old KC said that they bonded while filming the white-water rafting scenes in Cagayan De Oro and also on set when they would exchange stories about their experiences in the industry while in Bukidnon. “Nag-uusap kami tapos tinanong ko siya, ‘Ang tagal mo ng ginagawa ito nung bata ka pa, paano ka pinapa-arte nung bata ka pa?’ Tapos sabi niya, ‘Binibigyan ako ng burger tapos sinusunod ko lang yung sinasabi nila,’ (laughs)May mga ganung moments kami. Enjoy talaga kami working together,” she said during the presscon.
Forever and a Day is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and also stars Robin Da Rosa, Rayver Cruz, Bembol Roco, and Helga Krapf. Opens on June 15, Wednesday in over 100 theaters nationwide.
