061611-kc_main.jpgNow that her movie Forever and a Day is being shown in 100 theaters nationwide, KC Concepcion was excited about sharing her latest dramatic offering. “Sobra kaming na-attach sa movie na ito. I got the feeling na hindi lang ako, pati si Sam (Milby) pati siDirek (Cathy Garcia-Molina) mismo, iba talaga itong pelikulang ito, yung effect niya sa aming lahat. I don’t know if it’s because naging personal siya or parang lahat makaka-relate, no matter what background, kahit mayaman or mahirap, kahit ano yung pinag-aralan. I’m just so excited for you to experience this journey of Raffy and Eugene. Ang ganda nung progression ng lahat,” she said.

The 26-year-old actress admitted playing the role of Raffy, a woman trying to get over her many fears, is one of the best characters she’s ever portrayed. “For me, this is the most confident I’ve been in a role. Just because I really trusted Direk and hinayaan niya ako na mag-explore pero at the same time very firm pa rin siya as a director kaya nga takot ako sa kanya dati. Before siya magbigay ng direction tinatanong niya kami as our character so nararamdaman din naman na, uy importante rin yung mga choices ko or importante rin pala yung una kong nararamdaman dun sa gagawin namin. God knows how much I went through bago ko in-accept ito. At kung pano talaga ako nag-open up kay Direk, pati yung mga fears ko at kung ano yung mga uncertaintiesko, not just tungkol sa pelikula pero sa sarili ko, having been there for about three years mainstream sashowbiz,” she admitted.

KC said that doing Forever and a Day under director Cathy Garcia-Molina also helped shape her into a better actress. “I started doing movies three years ago and siyempre I try to work hard. The first thing that Direk Cathy told me to do was to trust her and it helped me a lot, nabigyan ako ng lakas ng loob to continue acting lalo na sa pelikula and confidence na meron pang room to grow and meron pang magagawa na hindi pa nakikita ng tao or posibleng mas tanggapin pa ng tao yung ipapakita ko,” she explained.

In the movie, KC was able to explore scenic locations in various provinces which made her appreciate the country even more.

KC said she is very proud of her fourth movie project, which is also part of Star Cinema’s 18th anniversary offering this year. Gumaling naman yung Tagalog ko kahit papaano and medyo nag-iba na rin ako bilang tao for the past three years. Nag-mature ako. And it’s not what you think, this movie is so much more than any of us ever expected and maraming salamat to the fans, sa suporta niyo, and sa willingness niyo maging parte ng kuwento namin dito,” she said.
