There have been speculations whether or not Sam Milby and KC Concepcion developed romantic feelings for each other while shooting their movieForever And A Day. Apparently, some believe that it’s possible since they were admittedly attracted to each other way before they became good friends. But Sam dismissed the said rumors, insisting that he’s over his harmless crush on KC a long time ago. “Before I was asked in an interview if I have a crush on KC.Sabi ko, I did, 4 or 3 years ago pa, matagal na yunand then we became friends,” he began.Sam further explained that there’s no reason for people to wonder if he would have pursued KC if she weren’t in a relationship with Piolo Pascual, who happens to be his good friend as well. “Kung posible bang na-develop ako kay KC [at niligawan ko siya]bago naging sila ni Piolo? Before this movie was even planned, matagal na kaming magkaibigan. And even before Piolo and KC got in a relationship, magkaibigan na kami ni KC. That’s why if something could have happened, it would have happened [long ago]. You know what I mean? [Pero] dahil naging friends lang kami, [hanggang ganon na lang].”
Sam’s the type who would never mix personal feelings or experiences with his work. For instance, he never internalized his character’s emotions by recalling his past heartaches in real life. “Every actor has different techniques. May mga actors na ginagamit yung personal experiences. Ako hindi ganon, hindi gumagana sa akin yun and direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) knows that and found that out in this movie. Para sa akin kasi, kung ano man ang nangyari in the past, nangyari na yun, hindi na ako apektado. So what I did for this movie, I just got into the character and direk Cathy found ways to bring out real emotions from me that are needed in the movie.”
But when asked if it’s possible for him to fall in love with a girl in a short period of time, Sam claimed that he learned to never underestimate the power of true love while shooting Forever And A Day. “Dati siguro sasabihin ko hindi. But after this movie, pwede ko sabihing oo. Because if you know it’s real love, kahit anong situation,kahit anong defect, anything, you will [still choose to be with that person even if you know that the relationship won’t really last].”
