KC Concepcion is certain her friendship with Sam will last

KC Concepcion and Sam Milby share many common interests.

MANILA, Philippines – Though it's difficult to build friendships in a world of make believe, KC Concepcion believes she's found a genuine friend in Sam Milby.

“I think Sam is one of the people in my life na for keeps na talaga and napag-usapan namin ‘yon before na talagang we don’t think that something will ever get in the way sa friendship namin. Parang ano siya, for life,” KC said about her newest leading man on "Showbiz News Ngayon," June 10.

The friendship of the two dates back even before they have been paired together in a movie.

“Nakakatuwa lang. Parang pareho kami ng kultura, pareho kami ng hilig, gano’n. So parang gano’n po,” the singer-actress said.

So, are KC and Sam closer with each other after shooting their first movie together?

“Even before we started the movie close na kami. So hindi naman, parang hindi naman kami mas close kasi close talaga kami before we started the movie,” Sam explained.

Sam even volunteered, “I mean, 'pag may problema siya, ‘pag may problema ako I can... I know I can confide in her.”

“Du’n tayo naging close, ‘di ba? Dahil nagse-share kami ng mga problema,” KC interjected.

Their closeness, at first, was what hindered their work together.

“‘Yung mga first part ng movie medyo nahirapan kami kasi medyo ano, chikahan,” Sam shared.

“Hindi tayo nag-uusap. Aminin mo ngayon, ‘pag pumapasok tayo pinapagalitan tayo ni direk, ‘di ba? Hindi kami nag-uusap unless...” KC trailed off.

Director Cathy Garcia Molina revealed that initially, KC and Sam’s seemingly endless bantering on the set hampered their shooting.

“Sobrang kulit po nila. Naiinis na ako. Ang ingay. Binabawalan ko po for a while na mag-usap kasi sobrang chika,” the director shared.
