Young superstar overwhelmed by continued supportMANILA -- Despite a change in time slot, the primetime series starring Judy Ann Santos remained the No. 1 program among its competing shows, as measured across urban and rural households nationwide.
"Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala," which airs during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block, maintained its lead in national TV ratings over its rival shows aired on GMA-7 and TV5 in the last week of July.
According to the latest TV ratings data of multi-national market research group Kantar Media, the Kapamilya series continued its winning streak in nationwide ratings against GMA-7's "My Husband's Lover" on July 29 (25.3% vs 11.9%), July 30 (27.5% vs 14%), and July 31 (28.5% vs 14.8%).
Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes, representing 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
An overjoyed Santos, who is dubbed local showbiz's "Queen of Pinoy Soap Opera," expressed thanks to the loyal viewers of "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala."
"Maraming, maraming, maraming salamat po talaga sa lahat ng nagti-tweet, nag-i-Instagram sa pagpapanood ng 'Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala.' You inspire us to do more, and to be better sa teleseryeng 'to," she said during a live interview on "Bandila" aired Thursday.
She added: "To ABS-CBN, thank you. Sa lahat po ng nanonood talaga, sa mga directors namin, staff and crew ng 'Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala,' this is our show and sama-sama natin ipapakita sa mga tao na nagpapasalamat tayo sa patuloy na pagmamahal at pagtitiwala nila sa atin."
