On January 29, the balcony of Cerchio overflowed with Kapamilya stars, who all trooped to the intimate party just to say their wishes for Sam, who is scheduled to leave for Los Angeles on February 1.

One of the guests who dropped by the send-off party was Sarah Geronimo, who got to work with Sam in the series iDOL.When asked to give her reaction about the heartthrob's trip to U.S., the Pop Star Princess told PEP:
"Siyempre, mixed emotions kami sa pagiging Hollywood star na ni Sam.
"Happy ako dahil alam natin na better yung kompanya, yung career dun. Hollywood yun, e.
"And nagbibigay siya ng pride and honor sa country natin. So, happy ako for that.
"Siyempre, nakakalungkot din dahil mami-miss natin siya.
"Of course, hindi naman siya forever nandun, di ba.
"Nakalungkot din dahil may friendship na nabuo dito kahit hindi kami masyadong nagkasama-sama din. So ayun.
"Pero more than yung sadness, happy ako for Sam and proud ako na soon, e, maipagmamalaki niya ang ating bansa."

Meanwhile, Enchong Dee (left) also made a wish for his friend: "Sam, alam mo naman nung nasa Canada pa lang tayo pinagppray ko na yung Hollywoodness mo so alam mo na yan. Whatever happens to you, you have a friend here in Manila kaya galingan mo. Kunin ka or hindi pagabalik mo, 'eto pa rin, kapamilya pa rin kami."
