Sam Milby has remained single ever since his breakup with Anne Curtis. The 27-year-old actor/singer admitted that there have been times when he would feel very lonely. “Siyempre, masarap naman na may love life kang nandiyan, na may inspirasyon, na may taong puwedeng kausapin kapag may problema. That's what's great about having a love life.”Sam said that he is very much ready to have a girlfriend at anytime, but it seems that his busy schedule is his biggest obstacle at the moment. “Reading-ready ako for a love life. But I'm very, very busy now. I’m hardly ever at home kasi. When I get home, mga 7 a.m. from shooting. Halos every day,may shooting.” He is currently finishing his movieForever and a Day with KC Concepcion and he is about to begin taping for the teleserye Alta with KC, Gretchen Barretto, Angelica Panganiban, Zanjoe Marudo, and Luis Manzano.
Sam explained that what really matters to him is to find a girl with whom he will really fall head over heels in love with. “Hindi naman ako naghahanap ng girlfriend dahil gusto ko lang magkaroon ng girlfriend. I want to make sure na habang nakikita ko siya, alam ko na mai-in love talaga ako sa babae.”
He also admitted that when he does get into a new relationship, he hopes it would be with a girl who is not from showbiz. Sam said, “I think I'd rather have a non-showbiz [girl] kung magkaroon ng love life. Hindi sa ayaw ko na sa artista, but I think, with being showbiz, our being open in the public eye, sometimes it's nice to have that part to be that quiet, to have a love life that's mas tahimik. I think it's what I'd like to have more.”
However, what’s tough about his situation as a busy celebrity is to have time to go on dates. “I don't have the time to hang out with anybody else. Maaga ako sa shooting, ‘yun lang talaga ginagawa ko, so baka wala akongtime to get to know a non-showbiz girl."
Furthermore, it’s difficult for a celebrity to find a girl who will understand the demands of the job. “A lot of people have told me, ‘yung non-showbiz, nahihirapan sila intindihin ‘yung mga may mga partner sa show, ‘yung ‘pag may love team. You know, kailangang kiligin ‘yung mga audience. Sometimes they don't understand and they get jealous of that,” said Sam.
