MANILA, Philippines - Actor Sam Milby revealed that he will be meeting with American network executives on Monday to discuss a proposed acting project.
He will be flying to New Jersey on October 8.
In an interview with Push.com.ph, Milby admitted that he had auditioned abroad sometime in June, while he was promoting his movie with KC Concepcion, “Forever and A Day.”
He related, “They’re looking for an Asian guy. They watched the Star Magic tour in L.A. earlier this year and they had other agents watch me in New York as well. After that, they asked me to come back to audition. It just so happened that my movie with KC Concepcion had a screening in New York, so dun ako nag-audition. Good timing.”
For now, Milby said he could not give further details about the project offered to him.
Meanwhile, when asked whether this opportunity abroad will soon lead to his departure from the local showbiz industry, Milby failed to give a definite answer.
He explained, “Siyempre ‘yon ang pangarap ko [makarating ng Hollywood], pero hindi ko alam [if I am open to work abroad]. It looks promising. I’m just really hopeful. Kung sakaling meron akong work doon, next year pa naman, so tapos na ang ‘Alta’ and ‘yung movie ko with Bea Alonzo.”
