MANILA, Philippines - Before leaving for the United States to pursue his dream of making it in Hollywood, actor Sam Milby left his fans with a special “Maalaala Mo Kaya" (MMK) episode this Saturday (February 4).
In the "MMK" episode, Milby co-starred with actress Jessy Mendiola.
Milby and Mendiola portray the roles of Nono and Joie, best friends who eventually became lovers. But their happiness was cut short when both their parents did not support their relationship.
Directed by Raz Dela Torre, the episode also stars Mickey Ferriols, Lito Pimintel, Aldred Gatchalian, Lauren Uy, Beauty Gonzales, Hiyasmin Neri, Hermes Bautista, Gileth Sandico and William Lorenzo.
In his official Twitter account on Wednesday morning, Milby bared that he is already on his way to airport.
"Well guess this is it... on my way to the airport :)," Milby tweeted.
A send-off party was also held for Milby and was attended by some of his friends in showbusiness including KC Concepcion, Sarah Geronimo, Derek Ramsay, Xian Lim and Kim Chiu.
Star Magic head Johnny Manahan was also present to wish the actor all the best.
Milby, who will be auditioning for a
role in a US TV series, hopes that his Pinoy fans won't forget him while he is abroad. He is set to be back this May.
