Studio 23 brings another first on Philippine TV by launching the 1st Barkada Choice Awards that aims to recognize local and international personalities in 14 categories that made a mark among its viewers, who can vote for their favorite celebrities by text.
To vote, just text WRAPCATEGORY KEYWORDLETTER OF CHOICE and send to 2331 for Globe, TM, and Sun Cellular subscribers and to 231 for Smart and Talk ‘N Text subscribers.
Battling it out for the Barkada Male Icon category (text keyword: MICON) are Gerald Anderson (A), Enchong Dee (B), Sam Milby (C), and Derek Ramsay (D).
Kim Chiu (A), Maja Salvador (B), Erich Gonzales (C), and Sarah Geronimo (D) are competing for the Barkada Female Icon (FICON).
Bea Alonzo (A), Angel Locsin (B), Kim Chiu (C), and Angelica Panganiban (D) are nominated for the Best Actress of the Year (ACTRESS), while John Lloyd Cruz (A), Enchong Ddee (B), Gerald Anderson (C), and Piolo Pascual (D) are in the race for Best Actor of the Year (ACTOR)
Music artists will also be recognized via the OPM Artist of the Year (OPM) wherein Bugoy Drilon (A), Juris (B), Sarah Geronimo (C), and Jovit Baldivino (D) are going up against each other.
Luis Manzano (A), Bianca Gonzalez (B), Vice Ganda (C), and Anne Curtis (D) are nominated in the Choice Tweet Idol category (TWEET).
