Asked how he spent his free time in the US, Sam shared, “I didn’t do so much shopping, I stopped bysa music store lang, I stopped by sa clothing store.”
Sam said that his elder sister, who brought her 10-month-old daughter with her, watched one of the shows. Sam added that he was happy to see his sister and be with his niece even for a brief moment. “Only one night lang sila nag-stay sa New York,medyo bitin sa time but what I’m happy about kahit noong Christmas hindi pa siya (niece) masyadong sanay sa akin. Hindi pa komportable sa akin, ‘pag hinahawakan ko, umiiyak siya. Nung dumating sa concertnung nilapitan ko siya, umiiyak siya,” he shared. The doting tito continued that there was a moment that he nervously carried his niece and that she did not cry.
Now that he is back in the country, Sam said that he will resume shooting for his upcoming film with KC Concepcion. He said that the crew will go to Bukidnon and Camarines Sur this coming week and that he is excited to resume work.

Sam Milby on AJ Perez: ‘Sometimes God wants to take the good ones right away’ - Push.com.ph
Although he was sleepless and exhausted after a long flight from New York, Sam Milby went straight to the last night of AJ Perez’s wake at Christ The King Church in Green Meadows last April 25. He wanted to pay his respects to his former Babe I Love You co-star who was almost like a brother to him. “Actually, I haven’t gotten home yet. Diretso ako dito galing saairport. I would always remember him as someonena laging happy, someone you want to be around with. He's full of energy and good vibes, napakabait talaga. He had a bright future ahead of him,” he said in an interview with Push.com.ph.
Sam also made sure that he could attend AJ’s interment the following day and his gesture really meant a lot to the bereaved family. “I did talk to the family and the dad. Nung nagsu-shooting kami ni AJ for our movie, I was always talking to the dad din,” the 26-year-old actor recalled.
In fact, AJ looked up to Sam for advice on love and his showbiz career when they played brothers in the movie, Babe I Love You. “Workout advice niya (Sam), always eat chicken and fish kasi protein yun. Do at least 30 crunches, 30 leg raises, mga ganon. Pagdating sa acting, we help each other out on the set sa tamang timingng pagpasok ng lines, as in tulungan talaga. Sa personal advice naman, I think meron siyang one advice na binigay sa akin about love. Just know a girl well and make sure you treat her how she's supposed to be treated, something like that,” AJ once told Push.com.ph.
Looking back, Sam said it’s really saddening to lose AJ at such a young age; but he also knew that there’s a reason why these things happen. “You know, I guess sometimes God wants to take the good ones right away. He's only 18 years old. I just know that it's his time. He's in a better place now and he’s really happy and that's all that really matters. But you know, lahat kami siyempre malungkot din, he touched many people’s lives. We’ll just recall the beautiful memories that we had of him,” Sam added.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, the movie starring Sam Milby (left) and KC Concepcion (right) is titledForever and a Day.
KC Concepcion and Sam Milby will soon be paired in a Star Cinema movie titled Forever and a Day.
In her recent press conference, KC shared details about her movie, which is to be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
KC narrated: "I just came from Bukidnon. Nag-Cagayan de Oro, Bukidnon, and Iligan po ako with Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina and Sam. Around 2 am or 3 am, we left Cagayan then lumipad po ako to Manila to do The Buzz. 2 am or 4 am the next day bumalik po ako ng Bukidnon."
Locals in Cagayan de Oro narrate that Sam and KC shot their scenes repeatedly in the Cagayan River for their white water rafting scene.
A crane was also set up in the Dahilayan Adventure Park in Bukidnon where the two stars also tried the 840-meter zipline repeatedly for scenes in the movie.
When asked to describe her role in the movie, the TV host-actress revealed, "She's a regular girl, simple girl that...I don't know kung babaguhin yun. She works for organization, she does everything to make her life as perfect as she can and then she realizes that she lost control and yun yung time na talagang mahahanap niya yung sarili niya nung nawalan po siya ng control. And in-accept po niya ung mga bagay na hindi masyadong perfect, which makes her a more beautiful person."
KC also mentioned that her character is hiding a secret. She is also excited for this movie because as she pointed out: "parang light lang po siya pero it's crazy po. Meron siyang edge."
"I promise you its one of the movies na one time ko lang siya magagawa!" she said with a smile.
