NEW YORK CITY - For six days last week, New York City became a major character in a new romantic-comedy film called "Prenup" being brought to life by award-winning screenwriter Jun Lana.
The movie is written and directed by Lana, known for his 2012 movie "Bwakaw", the Philippines' official entry to the 85th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.
"It's about two people who fell in love in New York and when they go back to Manila, they realize that their families are not entirely in agreement with their relationship," Lana said.
The movie "Prenup" brings together for the first time two of the hottest stars in the Philippines: Sam Milby and Jennylyn Mercado.
A "Prenup" or a prenuptial agreement may not be the most romantic idea for couples. But when done right, a prenup can prevent financial disasters experienced by couples going separate ways.
"This is a subject that a lot of people don't even know sa Pilipinas kung ano ang prenup, so you'll find that out," said Milby.
Milby is no stranger to New York either. It's his home away from home after living in New York for three months, three years ago for a shot at his Hollywood dreams...
