EUGENE DOMINGO ACCIDENTALLY HITS SAM MILBY WHILE SHOOTING KIMMY DORA (ANG KIYEMENG PREQUEL)
Eugene Domingo is so impressed with Kimmy Dora (Ang Kiyemeng Prequel) leading man Sam Milby that she has dubbed him as the Pinoy James Bond.
She credits Sam for making her look good when they do action sequences together.
(Read related article: Sam Milby can be Pinoy James Bond, according to Eugene Domingo)
In Kimmy Dora (Ang Kiyemeng Prequel), Eugene portrays twins with totally different personalities: the strict and intellectual Kimmy as well as the sweet and simpleminded Dora. The movie is set at the time when Kimmy and Dora have just finished college.
Sam is cast as Rodin Bartoletti, AVP for Human Resources of the Go Dong Hae group of companies. He oversees the internship program that Kimmy and Dora have to undergo in order to prepare them as future executives of their family business.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Eugene revealed that there were some mishaps on the set while they were shooting this comedy film directed by Chris Martinez.
Eugene says about this Metro Manila Film Fest entry, "Ang pinaka-challenge ng Kimmy Dora is the fight scene. Yung fight scene talaga because we had to do training."
What martial arts did she study to prepare for her role?
"Nag-aral ako ng Muay Thai, very, very light. All crash course. A little of capoeira, tapos ala-Bruce Lee style ng action. E, yung challenge pa nun…pag napanood mo na lang makikita mo. Andaming challenges."
Were there times when you got injured while shooting Kimmy Dora 3?
"Andami! she exclaims. "Sa tuhod… pero ako ang lahat ng may kagagawan. Tanungin mo lahat ang mga ka-fight scenes ko, yung mga stunt men, saka si Sam mismo. Ilang beses ko siyang nasuntok. Lagi kong sinasabi, 'No, no, no, I won’t hurt you.'

" Kimmy Dora (Ang Kiyemeng Prequel) REVIEW: Expect laugh-out-loud moments and elaborate fight scenes from Eugene Domingo "
This is what one should expect from Kimmy Dora(Ang Kiyemeng Prequel): unforgettable laugh-out-loud moments and family-safe hilarious antics from comedy maven Eugene Domingo.
Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel is set before the events of the groundbreaking first movie. Kimmy, the snooty sister, just graduated summa cum laude from a posh school abroad. She expects to take over her family's worldwide business empire, but she's disappointed when she's asked to start working at the bottom of the company first.
Kimmy must also compete with Dora, her simple-minded sister who just wants to jumpstart her budding acting career. Dora might not want to work for the family business, yet she plays along because she has a major crush on their internship supervisor Rodin (Sam Milby).
While all these are happening, a mysterious entity named Bogart is out to sabotage their business empire. Will Kimmy and Dora be able to save the company from Bogart? Who gets to head the family business? Who will win Rodin's affections?
Eugene Domingo's antics never gets old, even if this is the third Kimmy Dora movie.
Watching her act out two disparate characters perfectly will always be amusing, more so when these characters interact with each other.
Eugene also gets to flex her kung fu muscles in this film, as she's made to fight in long elaborate fight scenes. Eugene studied martial arts for these action scenes, and it shows, because her fight scenes look polished and believable.
Sam Milby is also the best leading man for the movie. He's a cool mix of charm and danger, essential for the climactic fight scene of the movie.
What's also notable for Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel is the high level of its cinematography and set design. This compliments the movie's countless sight gags, and blink-and-miss-it jokes happening in the background..

Sam Milby ‘contented’ with career status
MANILA, Philippines - Sam Milby is happy with how his career is going right now.
With the series of projects that came his way, he could say that he’s “content” with what he has.
“I’m very happy, I’m a lot happier now,” he said in an interview with Karen Davila in “Headstart” this morning, December 20. “It seems that I’m given, especially in terms of roles like nitong last na ginawa ko, I was able to do something different.”
The last teleserye that he’s referring to is “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” where he starred with Judy Ann Santos and KC Concepcion.
The Kapamilya actor says he enjoys portraying “grey characters,” which might happen again is his reunion film with Anne Curtis titled “The Gifted.”
“He seems good but he’s a bit bad,” he hinted of his upcoming role.
With these projects coming his way, Sam didn’t deny that he still “dreams” of pursuing a Hollywood career.
“But I’m content here,” he then adds. “It’s something I still want to pursue if I have time because I already have a good representation there, people believe in me over there and they believe I can make it."
“So for me if I have time I’ll just go there and aim for auditions because the audition itself is an experience.”..

Sam Milby is happy that he's spending Christmas here with his parents, who flew all the way from the U.S.
Sa isang panayam kay Sam kamakailan, sinabi niya, “Siyempre, mas mahirap talaga to be away from my Mom and my Dad.
“My Dad is actually turning 80 next year pero malakas pa rin siya, he’s very healthy.
“Pero, you know, it’s very important to spend time with your family, especially with my parents because of how much they sacrificed para sa akin.
“I wanna be able to spend time with them.
“I’m happy na nagpunta sila rito, and I’ll be able to spend Christmas and New Year with them.”
“I think mga 15 years. I mean, he’s still my half-brother.
“It would be so nice kung ‘yong buong [family], lahat kami magkakasama pati half-brother ko.
“I’d love for us to be together..

Sam Milby on team-up with Eugene Domingo: ‘It's more of landian lang’
As part of this year's Metro Manila Film Fest entry Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel, Sam Milby said his fans will see a different side of him in the action-comedy flick. “They will see the action side of Sam, yung side na mahilig mag-action at fight scenes. Yun ang difference sa ibang roles na nagawa ko, mas maraming fight scenes dito,” he explained.
The Fil-Am hunk said he does not want to be compared to previous Kimmy Dora leading men like Dingdong Dantes and Zanjoe Marudo because his character does not have an overly romantic angle with Eugene Domingo's character. “Basta iba yung love team, hindi naman kami love team dito that's why I find it very different. Hindi puwedeng i-compare ako at yung mga leading men niya sa first two movies kasi hindi kami talaga love team. It's hard to explain pero makikita niyo naman sa movie. It's more of landian lang, ganun,” he said.
Sam said that he does not want to feel pressured even though it is his first time to be part of the Metro Manila Film Festival. “Honestly kahit papaano may konting pressure. Pero yung pressure hindi dahil sa MMFF pero it's more of the pressure sa comparison sa mga naging dating leading men ni Eugene kasi ako, parang nag-ra-ride lang ako sa success ng first two Kimmy Doras na sobrang successful. First time siyempre na nakasama sa MMFF and yung pressure is more on kay Ate Uge kasi it's her and Direk Chris's (Martinez) movie so ako sakay lang and enjoy. I'm just happy to be part of this third and last installment ng Kimmy Dora and to be part of the MMFF for the first time as well,” he explained.
Apart from promoting Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel this month, Sam will be keeping busy spending the holidays with loved ones who are flying in from the United States. “I'm spending it with my family. Yung mom and dad ko pupunta sila dito next week tapos magpapasko dito and New Year andito rin sila,” he shared...

"Kimmy Dora ang Kiyemeng Prequel" radio tour today, Dec. 16, 2013
Tune in to the ff stations & catch Sam Milby & Eugene Domingo today
Sam Milby can be Pinoy James Bond, according to Eugene Domingo
In a tight corridor, Sam Milby punches, kicks and fights his way among goons attempting to block his way.
Wearing a bright green suit, black long sleeves, and black pants, he looks every bit an executive but he transforms into a lethal enemy when the camera begins to roll.
Sam kicks up really high and he doesn’t even break into a sweat while doing it.
In Kimmy Dora (Ang Kiyemeng Prequel), the actor plays Rodin Bartoletti, AVP for Human Resources of the Go Dong Hae group of companies.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had the chance to witness Sam Milby in action at the SMX Convention Center located in SM Aura, Taguig City.
Eugene Domingo, the lead star of Kimmy Dora, was also present during this particular shooting day to talk about her movie, which is one of the entries competing in the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival.
Written and directed by Chris Martinez, Kimmy Dora (Ang Kiyemeng Prequel) is said to be the last instalment of the comedy franchise.
She is so impressed by Sam’s skills in doing action scenes that she has dubbed him as James Bond of the Philippines.
"Perfect siyang maging Pinoy James Bond—given the right script and the right time.
"Si Sam ngayon ko lang nalaman na napakahusay mag-action. My God, antaas-taas ng sipa niya!”
“Sabi ko nga, I hope the producers will discover what you can offer, more than being a heartthrob.
“My God, ang galing mo sa action! Sabi ko nga, you are perfection!”
The comedienne credits Sam for making her look good when they do action sequences together.
“You know he can sing. He can move very well and he can do action. Not all actors now can do action. He does it so easily. Naging mahusay akong mag-action because of him. Nagmukha akong magaling because of him. Yeah, nadala ako.
“I’m very lucky, very fortunate. He’s really an asset to Kimmy Dora 3. Very appropriate yung kanyang skills sa demands ng Kimmy Dora 3.”

Sam Milby hopes to venture into action films in the future
Sam Milby is set to star in his first Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel, opposite multi-awarded actress Eugene Domingo.
During a recently-concluded set visit, Eugene described Sam as “perfection” primarily because he seamlessly portrayed his role Rodin Bartoletti and shocked the whole staff and crew as to how good he was when it came to doing fight scenes.
“Itong movie na ito siguro has the most action that I’ve done in any movie,” he began. Then followed it with, “Eh siyempre hindi naman mahilig mag-action movie ngayon dito sa Pilipinas so eto andaming action. Ako sobrang nag-enjoy talaga. And of course I’m excited kasi first time na MMFF and I’m a fan of Kimmy Dora. Napakagaling talaga si Ate Uge making Kimmy Dora and it’s been a lot of fun, especially the action scenes.”..

Sam is Eugene’s love interest in Kimmy Dora prequel
MANILA, Philippines - The much-awaited release of Kimmy Dora’s prequel movie has all indications it will outdo the first two films Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme and Kimmy Dora: Temple sa Kiyeme — of the Eugene Domingo-starred franchise. The actress fondly called “Uge” considers the hilariously titled flick Ang Kiyemeng Prequel as “the most challenging in the series.”
But more tickling is her revelation that her kissing scene with Sam Milby is the best yet she has experienced in front of the camera.
Eugene said, “Since this is a prequel, everything has to step back — from the twin’s ways and how they think. I’ve also discovered that I enjoy doing fight scenes over love scenes!”
Then she quipped, “I would have to say that Sam’s kiss is the best so far in all of my movies. And that wasn’t on lips!”
Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel tackles fresh grads Kimmy and Dora’s internship to manage their family’s chain of businesses in the future. The summa cum laude Kimmy starts to possess the makings of a strong leader while Dora keeps it modest and relates to the employees of the company.
The two need to experience working as first-layer staff and take on different tasks — from being security guards to flight attendants. Their rigorous internship will be spearheaded by Rodin Bartolleti, a Human Resources head played by top leading man Sam...
